The Western Institute for
the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (WIDHH) is the largest
non-profit agency of its kind in Western Canada.
In operation since 1956, WIDHH strives to offer
high quality services to Deaf, Deafened and Hard
of Hearing individuals through innovative products,
services, and programs that help to promote accessibility
equal to that of the hearing public. Important
services for the deaf and hard of hearing include:
employement counseling, audiology, hearing aid
program, information services, communication aids,
interpreter services, and a resource room.
WIDHH engaged 4AM Group to re-develop their existing
website and e-commerce online store.
results
4AM Group performed a thorough analysis on WIDHH’s
specific needs and requirements for the website
and e-commerce online store. An attractive and
professional home page which was both usable and
fast loading was created. The new website portrays
a solid, reputable and professional organization.
The web site was also integrated into the organization’s
new branding to create greater consistency in
direct and online marketing strategies.
A robust e-commerce solution for the largest online
store for hearing aids was developed for WIDHH.
In addition, the e-commerce software was integrated
with WIDHH’s existing accounting software
to further streamline their sales processes.
