Lean Sensei International
- considered by many companies across the country
as an organization that delivers the “purest
form of lean” - is the only company in North
America which specializes in implementing lean
philosophies strictly through coaching. Lean Sensei
International does not operate as a consulting
firm, but instead, it acts as a “sensei”
(“coach” in Japanese) on a long-term
basis to provide relentless, unbiased assistance
as if it was an extension of your company. It
is also one of the very few companies in North
America to have a true lean implementation experience
directly from Japan. A variety of manufacturing
companies, from small, customized manufacturers
to multinational corporations, are turning to
Lean Sensei because of its in-depth lean knowledge
and experience. Lean Sensei International believes
that every organization can attain world-class
status through teamwork, dedication, commitment,
and “yaruki” (“can do attitude”
in Japanese).
The challenge for Lean Sensei was to produce an
effective and well-branded web site as well as
to provide its customers with convenient access
to its library of useful articles. The solution
would allow its customers to easily find the information
they are looking for and allow administration
staff to easily update the database. Furthermore,
a recommended list feature would be helpful for
quick access to Lean’s recommendations.

4AM Group developed an HTML-based website with
interactive Flash elements to go along with its
new corporate branding. The new web site was developed
not only as an informational site, but also a
visual presentation.
4AM Group also worked with Lean Sensei to build
and implement a “Yahoo” like directory
to allow its customers to easily browse for the
files that they are looking for. An advanced search
feature was added to allow searching by keywords
and phrases using ‘and’ and ‘or’
search operators. In addition, a recommended list
feature was added. An administrative interface
was developed in order to quickly update article
information. Also, a security login was implemented
to restrict access to qualified customers only.
The web site and article database was implemented
within two months for Lean Sensei. All the features
were delivered on time and within budget. The
solution was customized to Lean Sensei's exact
needs and ease of use for customers and administrators.
